The Evil Eye is a podcast about goth movies. What exactly is a goth movie? Film writers Samm Deighan and Robert Skvarla are two old goths determined to answer that age old question by exploring various genres including horror, melodrama, and film noir. Each episode will dissect a film that fits the goth aesthetic and explore the music and culture in the year that film was released.

In this episode, the Evil Eye is continuing their October celebration of horror icon and greatest living human Vincent Price with a look at Robert Fuest’s black comedy-horror masterpiece, The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971), and its sequel Dr. Phibes Rises Again (1972). Price plays the titular organist who returns from beyond the grave (we think?) to orchestrate a symphony of revenge—inspired by the biblical 10 plagues of Egypt—against the team of doctors who killed his beloved wife.
