Season 7, Episode 17 (Originally Released on December 3rd, 2023)

On today’s episode of the Shame List Picture Show Michael is joined by a very special guest who is making his podcasting debut — John Connelly, an avid fan of cinema, is also a community and labor organizer in New Jersey. John felt this was the right time to dip his toes into podcasting to discuss Martin Ritt’s film NORMA RAE which is loosely based on the story of Crystal Lee Sutton and her tireless work to start a labor union at the textile factory she worked at. John is a wealth of information and helps shed a light on the fact vs fiction aspects of labor unions and we dissect this incredible film which stars Sally Field in a powerhouse performance.
