We’re lost in the stacks in this long-awaited episode of JodoWOWsky, not only covering half a year of Alejandro Jodorowsky news but tackling two of his most beloved – and complex – comics works, starting with his masterwork collaboration with the legendary Georges Bess THE WHITE LAMA and finishing with the lush, grotesque historical narrative THE BORGIAS, created with the equally legendary Milo Manara. There’s plenty of wild, obscene, confusing and bizarre material to chat about, so let’s get started!

Cinema Smorgasbord – JodoWOWsky Part 13 – Jodorowsky Hodge-Podge (/w Kaena: The Prophecy (2003))

JodoWOWsky returns with a hodge-podge of Alejandro Jodorowsky projects, including some acting roles from the early 2000s, a television adaptation of one his Métal hurlant comics, and a somewhat bizarre credit for the 2003 French computer animated feature KAENA: THE PROPHECY! We investigate what all of this could mean, while digging deep on all the latest Jodorowsky news. CHECK IT OUT!

Cinema Smorgasbord – JodoWOWsky Part 7 – The Eyes of the Cat (1978), The Jealous God (1985) and The Magical Twins (1987)

It’s an ALL COMICS episode of JodoWOWsky with our hosts examining three Alejandro Jodorowsky graphic novel collaborations throughout the late 70s and 80s. We start with a deep dive into THE EYES OF THE CAT, the (sorta!) first collaboration between Jodorowsky and the legendary Moebius from 1978. It’s gorgeous, highly experimental, and we even discuss a recent attempt to make a videogame adaptation! Then we move on to the often baffling THE JEALOUS GOD, a collaboration between Jodorowsky and Silvio Cadelo first published in Heavy Metal in 1985. And finally we finish with Jodorowsky’s first young adult comic THE MAGICAL TWINS with his frequent collaborator Georges Bess, first published in 1987. All this and the latest Jodorowsky news.
